A banner week for Nebraska small college athletes at the NAIA National Championship in Johnson City, TN.

The three day meet saw some great performances by Nebraska athletes:

  • Sara Retzlaff – Concordia – 5th – Weight Throw – 16.39m
  • Tierra Hubbard – Concordia – 3rd – Shot Put – 14.33m
  • Jared Schuurmans – Doane – 2nd – Shot Put – 17.66m
  • Scott Fritz – Hastings – 3rd – Shot Put – 16.94m
  • Katie Bartels – Doane – 3rd – High Jump – 1.75m

  • BJ Lawrence – Dana – 3rd – 60m – 6.81
  • Zach Meineke – Concordia – 4th – 3000m – 8:28.50
  • DeeJay Silcott – Doane – 5th – 200m – 24.79
  • BJ Lawrence – Dana – 5th – 200m – 21.73
  • Dana Schmidt – Concordia – 5000m – 6th – 14:50.47
  • Men’s DMR – Concordia – 5th – 10:11.60
  • Men’s 4×400 – Doane – 6th – 3:20.21

In the final team scoring one the Men’s side, Doane was 7th with 19 points, Concordia 15th with 15 points, Dana was 27th with 8 points, and Hastings 32nd with 7 points.

On the Women’s side, Concordia was 12th with 17.33 points and Doane was 17th with 11 points.
